that's not silly, though from my understanding when the game first came out, I was hoping to be able to enchant the arrow via mage. If you look at the CG trailer, a mage makes the arrow on fire.
Fire wall plus arrow through wall like guild wars 2 does in actual gameplay, but you dont have fire walls in this game so... damn :P
Don't listen to the haters, this change is for the best.Hello everyone!
I wanted to clarify some of the things you're discussing in regards to the removal of arrows as ammunition in A Realm Reborn.
There will be an unlimited amount of arrows available that come with equipping bows. Arrows will no longer take up inventory space and players will no longer have to purchase them.
For arrows that had specific enfeebles on them, those effects will be transffered over to specific actions. For example, using specific actions will place an enfeeble on top of the damage from the skill itself.
Now I can enjoy Archer/Bard.Hello everyone!

Really guys.....really.....

This is nice and all, but still wouldn't mind knowing if they are going to increase bow damage now since current system calculates damage based off the total of both bow and arrow. In 2.0 it seems only the bow will calculate damage which means without a base dmg increase that is a considerable loss in output. Would be a real annoyance if that got overlooked when they remove ammo as an equipable item....mind confirming it at least for us?Hello everyone!

So I'm thinkin' maybe the /punch auto attack becomes unnecessary, then, and bard's auto attack can just be an arrow shot? I would be cool with this!Hello everyone!

From what I get of one of the translated JP rep posts, the punch auto-attack will still exist to force you to fight at range. It will switch to punching if you're in the enemy's face but continue auto-attacking with bows if you're at range.
