The realism argument fails because not everything else in the game is realistic too, and trying to apply it to just this one thing is special pleading.
As I have stated before, realism needs to be there to help create a connection to the game! Leave fantasy where fantasy belongs, leave the basics alone.



You do realize you're playing a game called FINAL FANTASY, right? This game is filled with magic and monsters. There's nothing wrong with realism, but what you're saying is a bit ridiculous.
