    Except that's going to backfire, because they aren't going to be losing any gil. 10k gil after the change will effectively have the same value that 100k had before.

    You have 54 000 000 --> You'll have 5 400 000
    Otherwise people with less than 100 000 000 would be advantaged

    Back to topic, I don't think that Atomos could ever have any influence on game economy. -.-
    Wrong:

    Player#1 had 356 000 000 gil in 1.0 --> player #1 now has in 99 999 999 gil in 2.0

    Player#2 had 56 000 000gil in 1.0 --> and will still continue to have 56 000 000 in 2.0 as they have not passed the cap.

    ...I retract this statement... just read Yoshi's post.... sorry for the confusion..... *backs away slowly and runs away*

    No ones at a disadvantage cause gil cap is now 99 999 999 .... New game new rules ... be thankful Yoshi isn't wiping the slate clean with everyone's gil and giving us all old players 100k to start off with.
    You're wrong lulz.

    Regarding this statement that people keep throwing around that "You won't really lose gil because it will have the same value as it did before"

    That is only true with regard to items purchased from npc's.

    I highly doubt that they're going to automatically reduce the price of all market ward items by the same 10%.

    That means that an item on the wards selling for 2 million gil today, will still cost 2 million gil when ARR comes out. People that might have been able to scrape up 2 million gil, will see their wallet holding only 200k. With all sources of gil (outside of the market wards) supplying less than they did before, our hapless casual gamer that no one on these forums gives a flying flea about (but which I happen to be) will find it next to impossible to scrape up the 2 million gil to buy what they want.

    So, yes, we will be losing money, it's just that the people who will notice it the most, the ones that have to fight and scrimp and save and hoard it carefully, are the ones that will suffer.

    This is making a huge assumption that anything for sale in the Bazaar will still be up for sale when you log into 2.0. I Would bet that all sales will be taken down as they also have to deal with dated items becoming untradable.

    In fact we don't even know if the current wards system will even be there for 2.0.

    The transition will be a lot cleaner than people think because of supply and demand. Nobody is going to buy anything at current prices when everyone has 1/10th less gil than they had in 1.0. People will be knocking a zero off their sale prices if they expect to sell anything.

    66.66 batches x 10 drops x 4 turn ins x 125 [price] = 333300 gil per hour
    333,300 gil per hour x 10 hours = 3.33 million gil per day
    21 million gil a week.

    It's too much money.
    I never know you can buy/trade dawndrops and sell it instantly, which patches do that?

    This is just a simple lesson for everyone in Supply / Demand theory. Supply goes down, Demand stays constant, prices go..... UP!
    It's both.

    Low supply leads to higher prices because everyone is too busy farming Atomos to SB, craft or gather.

    Higher prices lead to more Atomos farming to generate gil to afford inflated items.

    I don't think some of you understand the severity of this dawn drop racket. Anyone can do it. Any character, any level, any class. There is no waiting on market transaction since every gil springs from an NPC. Profiit comes as quickly as you can press the enter key.

    Just look at your company hall between Atomos spawns. If you think the crowds there are carefully deliberating on how to spend their seals, you are mistaken.

    come to think of it, unless there are hundreds of players with photographic memories, or for some ass reason decide to take a bunch of screenshots, this game is going offline for several months and I doubt very many or any people will remember all the prices as they were
