I did it, reluctantly, just to get a bit more change in my pockets 'cause I'd gotten down to 3,000 gil. I went up to 1 mil and that's it. I just needed a buffer to keep me going. Selling off random stuff to NPCs or quest/leve rewards should carry me for the rest of the way. For gear, I'd be getting much of it by killing of NMs and such.

Thing is, I'm not going to be inflating the market. For one, the money will either be used for repairs, or foods or whatever misc. gear I need. Also, I don't buy or sell things for ridiculous prices to begin with. So it's either going back out of the game via NPCs, or it's going to a player selling their merchandise at a reasonable price.

Making the money isn't the problem. The people abusing it with ridiculous inflation is. You can do one without the other.
