In general, protesting against a feature because of the fear of annoyance from other players isn't a strong argument.
People may occasionally find many things that other people do in an online game annoying, like emote spamming (especially since Final Fantasy XIV has sound clips associated with the emotes), chat spamming and even skill spamming. This is not a good reason to remove emotes, chat, nor skills from the game. Social issues like these are usually dealt with by social means, such as blacklisting of the person/exclusion.
Generally, if you aren't tolerant enough to accept and deal with the possibility of poor behaviour of other people, you should not be playing an online game, as it will likely make you unhappy.
This person knows what's up. He hit the nail right on the head.In general, protesting against a feature because of the fear of annoyance from other players isn't a strong argument.

The game is not designed to jump and there is so many things they need to change i hope they don't waste anytime on getting characters to jump around would be quit annoying
I somewhat agree with you but when said feature that could lead to spam is unneccessary (honestly I've been playing since launch and never once thought 'OMG I NEED JUMP!!!'). I won't cry if they add it but let's be honest, there's much more important features I'd rather see.In general, protesting against a feature because of the fear of annoyance from other players isn't a strong argument.

both XI and XIV players are pretty polite by comparison..
so polite that they almost never talk even in crowds of fifty or more...
maybe a bit too polite actually.
I want the auto-jump from ffxiii, as OP said![]()
I like the idea of being prompt to jump/climb up or down when you run towards a ledge.
Me too. I don't see the point in jumping at will (foremost, all my gamepad buttons are used...), while a fake jump as FFXIII would be fine
