From what I can tell, I along with many others hold the opinion that having a designated "jump button" that you could use at any time in this game would be rather obnoxious.

Fromt he very original post- having a jump button isn't obnoxious. The person using it to be immature is what's obnoxious. He or she finds him/herself on lots of blacklists and gets ignored by others quickly. Problem solves itself

I've said it just about anywhere this debate has come up- The fact that a couple people will act like morons if given the chance is not a reason not to have a feature.

Now i'm not saying this should be considered important, or a priority at all. I'm just speaking out against the counterargument of "If we let people jump, people will jump around for no reason and act like idiots." All you have to do is be the one that doesn't do that, and there's no problem.

The implementation of a jump feature will frustrate those who opposed it because they will feel their opinions are somehow worth less than supporters, and will split supporters into two groups: those who are happy with how it was done, and those who are not

EVERY SINGLE FEATURE OR ISSUE without 100% unanimous support will have this problem. Does that mean that no change should ever be made without 100% total consensus? No.
Beyond this statement, I fully agree with HunkaMunka's post.
