Actually, yes there is. There are tons of things. For example, not being able to get over a knee-high ledge.
Bunny hoppers are actually not all that common in other MMOs, anyway, and even when you do see them they're super easy to ignore.
Hopping is what most folk with ADHD do, most of MMO communities are full of said people with said ADHD. lulz

We've been fine without the wheel since the dawn of time. Who needs the wheel?Let me break down why I think jumping is ridiculous.
First of all go through the entire Final Fantasy series. Do you see jumping in any of them? From what I recall no.
- Evading a special ground-level attack (rolling logs, the sweeping tail of a dragon, a shockwave)Third of all, jumping does not add anything good to an MMO. Period. Nothing. Nadda. Zippo.
- Imagine a challenging descents down the crater of a volcano. Miss a jump - bye-bye. Or are you scared?
- Jumping out of trapdoors (castle Oztroya)
- (...) <- Space for infinite possibilities.
Why? Did they hire WoWs animation team?It makes you look like a bunny rabbit

Getting around grid can be a serious pain in the butt sometimes, being able to lower yourself down from certain cliffs would be nice.
The game is not designed to jump and there is so many things they need to change i hope they don't waste anytime on getting characters to jump around would be quit annoying

if area collision prevents you to go over that ledge, simply adding jump will not fix this "issue". You will jump and still not be able to jump over that ledge. Sorry to say that, but thinking that adding jump just because of this is just short-minded.
In case of you didn't notice, there ARE small ledges you cannot get over AND there are ledges that are exactly at the same height as the one you cannot get over but for those you can cross/climb them.
And this is Final Fantasy, not WOW or clones alike. no Jump other than emote-auto-jump when walking on a ledge or something that could have been jumped please :/
