The best thing of contextual jumping is that they can create dedicated, context-sensitive animations for it, instead of the random, generic jumping animation that you see in other MMORPGs, that looks horrible.
I would like both, like in Call of Duty or Tomb Raider. You can jump freely and also interact with objects of certain heights in a predetermined way.

The reason I dislike contextual jumping purely on its own is because I imagine its implementation in exploration to defeat the purpose of exploration. Earlier in this thread, somebody mentioned Final Fantasy X-2 as an exemplar of how contextual jumping should be implemented. In FFX-2 you could only jump in specific places which the game decided for you.

This is the crux of the matter, I don't want the game to decide for me. I want to decide.

I am not concerned about jump being added....

But If jump is added, please make sure we have a way to reset our location if we get stuck in the environment or fall through the map. I can see adding jumping leading to problems if it is not tested throughly. Getting stuck becomes a very real possibility also players might be able to find exploits and glitches if they can jump.

I do feel though that the amount of time and effort needed to add jumping to the game would be better spent on other more important, more urgent things.
