    See you are one of the people I mean by having a great opinion and its very valid by all means. I however meant they took one flaw of the game and got the problem resolved. Other things can be said how the dev team are more active there but I don't want to get into all that. My point is there are a lot of of other problems that could be talked about and discussed but the only one everyone seems to be fixed on is...To Jump or Not to Jump? A bunch of the same is just being re-gurgled and spit back out by now with 400+ posts. This will never stop unless everyone agree to disagree and just wait until Yoshi-P sheds some light on this.

    I am sad that we don't have developer involvement here like they do on the Japanese forums. I can only hope that it's more a byproduct of us simply being a secondary language, than one of our board's content being a lot more garbage-riddled than theirs.

    I can agree that just about everything that can be said on this topic has been by now, heheh, if only newcomers to the discussion would go though the bother of reading the whole conversation rather than just assuming what they have to say is going to be completely original and taking us back to square one every 4 or 5 pages.

    I wish that the people suspecting (or convinced) that the Japanese forums are in any way "better" or less spammed, or less chaotic or less flame-ridden that ours could actually read Japanese. They'd feel immediately better

    The average Japanese internet goer might write "Please listen" and "thank you for listening" at the beginning and at the end of the flame, but that doesn't really make it less of a flame, does it?

    It seems to me there aren't many of either.

    On one hand, there's the benefit of being able to jump up a TINY cliff that forces you to walk for another 7 minutes because you can't step over it. I think this has more to do with bad level design than anything else though, and could easily be dealt with by taking greater care in avoiding obtuse design decisions(La Theine I'm looking at you) or redesigning certain areas slightly.

    There's also the argument that the world "opens up" and you can "explore". This is an impossibility because you can't explore something that hasn't been programmed in.     If we're talking about combat advantages, things get a little more interesting, but abilities like stun for example, and the lack of an auto-attack make jumping behind an opponent to try to score a crit hit(a strategy I'd use as my rogue in WoW) unnecessary, because you can do the same thing by just circling around it.

    Is there anything else I'm not looking at?
    Also, to anyone who's arguing "there are more important things and this isn't even in the agenda." Have you taken a look at the Letters From The Producer at all? This isn't something we all just thought of on a whim. The dev team is already actively considering this while working on whatever the game's problems are. It makes sense that we'd want to give feedback on it.

    Also thanks to the community team for giving us the heads up on Yoshi and his crew's thoughts on the subject. Regardless of anything, I want him to stick to his guns and do what's best for the game, which may or may not include a jump feature, which is very different from character collision.
