They also mentioned dated items (the old xmas/new years synths are essentially dated) may become U/U per Live Letter and we already know those recipes will be taken out of the game.

What evidence do you have they're removing the ability to obtain primal weapons?
Edit: Because I was interested, from the Live Letter yesterday, Reinheart was kind enough to translate some of it. Specifically, look at:

Y: mmmm did we have any shield... mmmm (looking through papers) showing paper. Set with sword
Y: this is also transforming weapon - from Titan

From the second Letter from the Producer Live:
I'm pretty sure the removal of the achievements for the primal fights means the battles, as they are today, are going away. For all we know, the primals might reappear as part of the Summoner's AF gear quest line, where every 5 levels you fight another primal for access to it's abilities. So, they won't disappear completely, but we want be able to fight those three after 15 minutes.A: First of all, please be aware that the main scenario and the Seventh Umbral Era aren't really the same thing. Players who start after 2.0 should be able to experience the former.Q: Will new players who start playing after 2.0 get to experience the current main scenario? Also do they get to challenge instanced raids and primal battles that are available now?
Regarding instanced raids, they will basically remain as it is and they'll be carried over to 2.0. Now with the primal battles, some plots are connected with the Seventh Umbral Era. I say that there is a good chance their appearance may change in 2.0. Some will remain the same, some won't. So basically, the current game balance and the current reward will only be available now. Some of those items already exist.
Which makes sense as you only get the primal achievements for defeating them in hard mode and not in their easy form.
Actually, as long as they do go through with Level Sync and Level Caps, capping the easy at 25 would still be a challenge for the recommended party so it could still give an achievement for it.
Just because the primal fights in their current form are going does NOT mean that the weapons will not become obtainable by a different means, such as NEW primal fights. They haven't actually told us what is happening to the primal drops, which is what is frustrating. There are two theories running around, each as likely as the other.
We have been seeking clarification on this point from the reps for months now.
Hopefully it'll only be 7th Umbral Era event items.
People are trying, but not everyone can get all the items they want before the shutdown date. The list would at least show where your priorities should be so that you don't waste time prioritizing items that are going to be obtainable in 2.0 over items that are being discontinued.
That's why getting this list sooner rather than later is so important.
Just assume anything you want is grounds for unobtainability.
This was five and a half weeks ago.We know you're all interested in finding out the status of items and equipment, so I wanted to let you know that the team is currently creating a list of items and equipment that will not be obtainable in A Realm Reborn. Please hang tight a bit until it's all created, double-checked, confirmed and posted!
