Auction House vs Wards

What? No sir you suck. No one complains about the wards but you FFXI players. This game been around for 2 years with the wards in it, why change it. "I can't get my retainer in Ul'dah". So put them in another city why don't you?

I was a XI player for a wopping 3months at CoP..
Wanting a system that works has nothing to do with XI for most people, I would prefer a EvE style market..
I think a SWG system would be the best balance as it's virtually a mix of the 2 systems.

Atm though the wards are just a mess, finding +1 lol, not being able to get a spot.. great fun and really effective.
And its basically a AH anyway now that you can shop from the menu.

But are you honestly saying that the huge amounts of nps just dumped into a room, looks good, adds anything to the game?
I can think of half a dozen systems that could be used and would fit the game world better.

Thank you SE for keeping the markets wards. Glad that SE stood it's ground about market wards and not switching to an AH. This is not FFXI. If you want an AH take your arse back to XI.

False. I may have played FFXI, but it is also a name in a longer list of MMOs with different ways of handling commerce. I'd want something like a real auction house, with post times and a base price that does not instantly sell the moment you place a bid higher than the seller's secret price of the item. A buyout option to expedite things would also be nice.

The design has to put convenience in the forefront, because convenience is what helps move the economy. As it's currently set up, you're not going to be moving people out of Uldah or whatever city players decide is the main hub for everything, and if 2.0 is only looking to alleviate the congestion of this inherently bad system instead of bringing in a new system to correct things, then I can only say I am disappointed.

On retainers: I'd want them to hang out at my residence/estate. Use them to interact with the functions within the estate. Hell, I'd want to be able to gear them up and make them follow me into combat as companions, as a third option aside from the path companion and chocobo and whatever else they're adding on that front.

Honestly if they keep the MW in 2.0 and not give us an alternative, simple and flexible system, I'm probably just going to say f**k it. I've avoided the MW in 1.0 like a plague because they're awful to use. And also they're a plague.

We're still in Eorzea (Tanaka's idea), we're still using the same races and lore (Tanaka's original team designed), we're still using the Armory system (Tanaka's idea.)

So if XIV is a failed idea, why aren't they renaming it? This whole hate for Tanaka is pretty silly.

I have a better idea!! Instead of working on MW version 2.0, how about a Salon where players can redo their hairstyles/hair color, etc! I'm pretty sure that'd give the game way more appeal than ward system.. Drop in AH and salon & /gg

Also fix so we can buy items from the AH and not get kicked out after purchase.. like wtf whose idea was that? You dont goto the supermarket and they tell you to reenter to buy more than 1 item.. (>_> wtf
