PS3 PC to share same servers?

I've looked here and there and haven't found any answer on this matter. It might be because it's obvious to some but I'm not sure myself if PS3 and PC will share the same world. Will my ps3 friends be able to play with me in ffxiv ARR while I play on PC and vice versa ?

Bonus question: Will current and new players have new buddy passes to pass so they invite friends to play ? If SE wants to convince other mmorpg players to join Eorzea they'll need some candy, not someone ( like me ) describing how the candy tastes to them.

There will be no difference, can play anywhere on any platform at any time with anyone you want.

PS3 and PC will play with eachother on the same servers.

It would be pretty cool if they gave us more buddy passes, but since buddy passes are actually full accounts, I kind of doubt it.

You dont need to close your thread. When a thread has run its course, people will stop responding and it will fall off the bottom of the page into oblivion on its own. The source of the info is Square Enix. PS2/PC/Xbox all play together on XI, and the same will continue to be true for FFXIV (minus the part about xbox because they're not putting the game on it)

I remember in a Dev post a while back, they mentioned that players who currently play on the PC version, will be able to log onto their characters from a PS3 and continue playing their characters.

Hm why would it make a difference ? I mean would new pc players on be able to switch pc to ps3 with their same character? if it's truly the same servers, the data is there is it not ?

PC and PS3 are cross server play, as well as when/if the game comes out on other consoles. It will most likely play just like FFXI, if your on the pc but switch to your xbox/ps2 or ps3 you can log in with your same character no matter where you are.
