    Buyback Feature

I feel the majority of the things I gather from mobs, I vendor. I have yet to make the mistake of NPCing something of value or equipment that I'm currently using but I'd like a little insurance. Mind you, I haven't touched the game in a month and it escapes me whether there is an "Are you sure?" window popping up.. but even so, some steps, I feel, need to be skipped/done away with as the majority of the game's adventure is spent through windows that lead to other windows.

I think I detracted from the point.. Buyback Feature.

    Yes, please.

I've accidentally sold things to vendors before. Nothing major, but it could have been.

    Yes to buyback.

However, this raises another concern of mine regarding the NPC interaction. Instead of choosing from seperate "Buy" and "Sell" options after talking to a NPC merchant, these should be included in the same choice along with the "Buyback".

NPC merchandise to purchase would be far left tab, followed with your inventory to sell from, and then the Buyback tab.

[NPC Inventory] [Your Inventory] [Buyback Tab]

Also, eliminate the "Are you sure" window popping up every time you sell something. Just check the buyback list to make sure you didn't accidentally sell anything. Sold items are removed from the Buyback tab once you exit interaction with that NPC.

Agreed. I've accidentally sold things a few times because of "lag" in the interface or whatever you want to call it. Could well have been my own impatience trying to dump mountains of garbage on an NPC but an "undo" feature of some kind would be nice.

+1 to wanting this feature. It's a good idea all around and one that was sorely missed in XI.

If there is a buyback feature, how long would the option be available? If it's an extended period would people try to abuse it as storage? If the buyback option were available for longer than a day (IRL), after a predetermined amount of time the items should either lose quality status (i.e. +1, +2, etc.) or have the cost increase for the buyback the longer they remain with the vendor. I just see this as a way to keep a buyback system from being abused as extra storage.

Or as an alternative to the buyback, have it be like an in-game pawn shop. After a certain amount of time, if the items sold to the vendor haven't been repurchased by the seller, then they become a part of the vendor's inventory while quantities last.

Usually MMOs with buy back only last till you close the window. Any bigger queue then that would have a load of engineering problems, and even worse, open it up to dup hacks.
