Will ARR feature walk-in NPC houses/homes as FFXI had?
I always thought it was a shame XIV didn't.

I'm Cedri with the 6'oclock news and this is what's happening in your Eorzea tonight.
A series of break ins happened in Ul'dah yesterday evening with many home owners left confused and feeling vulnerable. Apparently the assailants walked in through the front doors, look around and promptly left. Nothing was taken but authorities are looking into the serial break in wave that seems to be sweeping our fair city.
If Hildibrand can walk into your inn room and give you the worst bedside awakening ever then there's no reason why we can't simply walk into NPC houses uninvited.
It's not fair NPCs can do this to us, we have our rights too!
NPC houses could be cool. Not that they have to be houses where you can just break and enter freely, but maybe a story npc would invite you over to his place, or what not. Or hell, maybe you actually could be sent to rob someone. Lots of possibilities.
Its hilarious half the community riots if they hear 100 people jumping on a tent looks bad,
but walk in houses? a staple element of mmorpgs?
oh no, that shit ain't realistic. ffxiv needs to mimic real life.
which is kind of silly, seeing in many towns, in many parts of the world, in parts of canada still, they don't lock the doors. just make the npcs a bit aloof and some joke around adventurers breaking in and it'll seem believeable. easily.

Well, your suggestion wasn't exactly realistic. (Realistic as in something that the DEVs would be actually able to accomplish.)
This suggestion is entirely possible and reasonable.
Edit: Also, most of these people that posted were just joking...
