Suggestion: Trade-in old GC gear for seals back

My retainer is starting pile up with old gear and weapons I'm never going to use again because I feel like throwing them out would just be a huge waste. I only bought them because there wasn't really anything to do with seals until 1.22, and now since I'm zealously trying to get seals for some of that gear, I wish I could trade those old items in for some seals.

So, like this post if you think you should be able to trade in purchased GC items for a certain percentage of seals back!

No...just no. think about it if i could just get seals by handing in my mountains of junk gear chances are i would never do any GC related content. People don't do caravans anymore because there an easier faster way to get seals its called toto-rak. Point in case where trading in U/U gear has made GC related stuff less than optimal.

your grief is with balance, they need to have a better balance for seals per hour. I wouldn't mind if we could trade in GC gear as long as it was for around 50% value or less.

I agree I think you should be able to trade old company gear for seals(less than you bought for obviously.) As you level up a job, and rank up in your GC ofcourse you are going to be needing new gear. Currently that leaves the old company gear useless and it would be a shame to toss it.

So the NPC that takes NM gear should also have the option of GC gear in the menu.

Its a good idea I hadn't even thought about! they might not of either. It will probably eventually get implemented.

You know you'd have to spend seals in the first place to get GC items right? If you get 25% of the cost back on trade in, and you bought 4k seals worth of items, you'd only get 1k back at the end of it all. That's not going make people stop doing GC content.

had the same idea when i got mog bow 2 days after i got my ul'dahn composite bow... so I like this thread! 50% might be bit to much but 25% seems all fine.

25% seals back would be fine.
If a gear cost 6000 seals it would be 1500 seal you get back and the rest 4500 seals you paid would be wasted. But you get 1500 seals more than if you drop the gear for more storage place and get nothing.

Or give us a company wardrobe near the armoire in the Inn rooms ^^
