Just like how I have the option to respond to them. Crazy huh?People like to whine like this about other peoples posts.. but you dont have to respond to them, you dont have to read them.. your more then welcome to ignore them. If Elexia wants to compare everything to XI... why not? if you dont like it.. ignore it. OPTIONS! IMAGINE What yOU could do with THEM!!!!!!
I just don't get why someone would want so much ripped straight from FFXI when FFXI is a 10 year old game, that still has subs, and servers running, and continues to release content. FFXI's response times weren't even all that good, the difference was that the game was built around those limitations. Which ultimately led to very static encounters. But this thread isn't about that, so I'll leave it at that.
Oh wait I lied. One more post.
FFXI was an MMO that was built with the PS2 in mind, and had to work around the PS2, the PC was an afterthought. FFXIV is being built for a PC and a console. So yeah, taking ideas from a PC MMO seems like a pretty fucking good idea.

WRONG, I did whatever sub job I wanted, I was an amazing thf, people let me do what I wanted.Every other MMO can deal with non region locked data centers at various locations. Regional data centers is a huge win for 2.0 and all the XI trolls are trying to drag ARR back to the stone age.
You complain about data centers segregating the community -- and yet all XI ever did was segregate the community based on content, level caps, what job you were, what sub job you did not have, time of updates, etc. The list continues endlessly because XI was poorly planned -- including the server infrastructure of XI.
This is FANTASTIC news about data centers.
PS:
Aren't you doing the same thing you're berating them for doing?People like to whine like this about other peoples posts.. but you dont have to respond to them, you dont have to read them.. your more then welcome to ignore them. If they want to comment on someone's opinion aren't they as free to do so as the original commenter?
Options, imagine what you could do with them.
Yet it's funny how older MMOs are lasting longer than newer ones seem to be, and usually for the wrong reasons.Just like how I have the option to respond to them. Crazy huh?

Funny because you both did the same thing, i didin't say replying wasnt an option.. i was pointing out that telling somone not to mention something is stupid. All of you forum crawlers ever do is rag on people like elexia and rokien.. if you dont like their posts.. your probably better off not repsonding.. ignoring them.. and perhaps they will go away??? better yet.. why bother yourself by participating in a conversation with someone you dislike and who's opinion means little to nothing to you anyway? I read all of your silly posts all the time and then watch the trolls who call everyone else trolls crawl out of the woodwork. This forum is no better then subjecting yourself to a classroom full of clowns....
Morticous - Senior admin of.... well of nothing. (cool picture here)
This seems pretty pointless since it sounds like they already have the infrastructure in place.
Posted this in the thread Bayohne started, but it really doesn't affect me much since I pretty much only play with NA players anyway. I've grouped up with random EU and JP players for things like behests and caravans, but I've never done any kind of significant content with them simply due to the language barrier.
With this announcement, I don't see many people playing outside of their home region just due to latency issues. I imagine there will be some people that can speak Japanese will play on JP servers, but this will be a tough call for linkshells comprised with multiple nationalities. They have to decide whether they want better network performance and want to play with people close to their own time zones, or whether they want to stick with the friends they've made.
If Data Centers = better gameplay, then sure I'm okay with it
Also, from what I read, if you feel you need to be on a JP server that bad, why not just pick one to play on?
What's your point?Funny because you both did the same thing, i didin't say replying wasnt an option.. i was pointing out that telling somone not to mention something is stupid. The whole point of a discussion forum is to speak your mind. If someone is sick of seeing "like XI" or Rokien's necroposts then they're free to express that. It doesn't make anyone wrong or correct.
I was just pointing out that you were doing exactly what you were telling someone not to do.
