How will we know if lag will be a issue before the new servers launch? It's not like they are going to let us trial the new servers before the game launches. Chances are we are going to log in and have to pick a server right from the get-go without a chance to change after that.

It would only be a dream if people didn't jump ship to other servers in this scenario.

Again, I did say "IF", but "Soo many people on this thread are having issues with "Segregation" that they don't have to move anywhere. Yet they will jump ship anyways when lag may not even be a major issue with these new servers.

As long as i get to play with my EU pals, my non-existent JP pals can Kiss it. besides from what ive read JP wants it more than we do. i say give them there dead JP onry servers and region lock there ass.

Can always use test dummies, before putting your Main Character your worked on in FFXIV 1.0 in a Region. Just a thought.. but then again would everyone know to do this at the time of ARR? Who knows ^.^.

If not many people use those NA or EU servers key word not many, they would be wasting money keeping it up for a little playerbase. and the big word of "IF" didn't say it will or will not happen, but its def. an option.

i hate the idea of taking a step backwards by using regional servers, i don't think nor Feel that the NA or the EU player base has much say power in this regard... If we even had any to begin with

Names will stay the same.. but Balmung could be labeled as a NA Server and Masamune

They're not going to do that

1) that would be retarded
2) with the current servers being located in japan, it makes the most sense for them to become japan serves because that's where they are. The servers will be labeled based on their physical location, not based on language.
3) New servers is pretty much a certainty and it's the new servers that will be in different regions.

My cousin did ifrit with some jp and pretty much farmed it all night and this was back when ifrit was relatively new and most people were still wiping on it. Then during moogle days he pretty much farmed it with the jp too.. maybeeee they just think your bad or just dont know their strat.
