Why ppl are crying so much O.o ? You can always stay on an international server.

Personally i will go on an european server (Finally).

Likewise for NA server. Thing is some people complain about this but majority of the time the Japanese won't party with your because of the language barrier, some will but most won't. Same goes with other languages that rather play with people who speak their main language. At least you have the option to play on an international server if you want, personally I much rather have no lag and fluid gameplay than the ability to party with someone from another country. I still want to see how it works in person first before we judge it any further, they may even make it where you can change databases while remaining on the same server or merge them together if they already aren't to some degree.

I thought it was a bit ridiculous that people actually believed that SE was going to set up some complex mirroring system so they can send data from EU and NA to Japan and have 3 sets of servers.

It was hilarious, people were just imagining stuff up that isn't even possible, and then acting like it was undeniable fact. I even had one guy try to tell me he was a network engineer, and then tell me distance has nothing to do with latency. People filled page after page with the most ridiculous statements, and then tried to insult anyone pointing out the obvious truth that it was already said we were getting new servers... It was an awesome and truly funny mass hysteria. People kept saying "ITS A DATA CENTER ITS A DATA CENTER" acting like a data center is some sort of magic computer system when in reality it's just a building that houses servers.

Are you sure you're not confusing yourself with me?

If I ever started doing that I would end my life. Just kidding, glad at least you were on the side of us who like to go by facts on this one.

This is what I have been trying to say all along. The only thing up in the air is all the current servers are going to stay in Japan (I somehow doubt the EU preferred server is going to stay in Japan that we have now).

Uh... Actually it's not up in the air at all... They have said, over 5 times now, that they are adding new servers to each region.

I see this as a good thing. What's so bad about having people with the same play time as you, the same language as you all in the same server? Granted it sucks in the way that people will end up getting separated. But in the long run, you will have a much better playing experience in game.

Currently, in my server I see this issue of language barriers, conflicting play times with various people, poor performance on various people due to latency. And one thing that really bugs me is this whole JP only party. I would say 70% of the Parties late at night ( for me ) will not even bother responding to you. Even if I take the effort to translate to Japanese, they will still ignore me. Or if i use the party search feature, they will say "Sorry JP only" and boot!

So what I'm saying is, whats the point of an international community if a majority of the international community plays among themselves? Wouldn't it be better to convert those player that would not normally play with you into people who would?

I don't get why people on these boards have to play mental gymnastics in order to convince themselves and others of something that is clearly not the case.

In order to have optimal gameplay, regional servers is a must. It's coming and it'll be far better than what we have now. DEAL WITH IT.
