Y: For gathering point you can use the skill to show/hide the gathering location this way you can hide ones you don’t need to see or can’t gather yet because of level.
Depending on level you can gather different items so you can choose which item you want to gather by looking at success % rate and leveling from that and we also have unknown (hidden) items also which you can find - we are designing it so you can try to guess those items like dark matters. You have to watch the GP and this one takes more time to restore so if you over use too much you will run out of breath and have harder time gathering. While playing you will learn where to gather for what items and will be where you can make sure where want to go.

Of course, because of economic issues and botting, allowing gatherer's to just chop trees and mine all day would be unrealistic and game breaking. Here in this new system we have the ability to aim for specific items. If you're aiming for cobalt you're not going to come away with brimstone. So this limitation based on GP is needed and a good way to make Gathering harder to bot without punishing players unnecessarily. Also you'll be able to see how much you can gather and plan accordingly.

That said, it is also noted that gathering higher level items will likely take more GP and things like Cobalt and Darksteel won't be as quickly gathered as they are now.
