Eh... whatever. Takes too much effort to discuss this in circles.
Just remember all of this once ARR launches and things turn out to be all just peachy sooner rather than later.

Not to be mean but, English isn't your mother tongue is it? There are so many grammatical errors in your post I don't really understand what you are trying to convey. And that sarcasm totally didn't make sense...Oh, silly me!
I love selling things and being the Personal Assistant of everyone for Gil(note the sarcasm)
So I'm going to do it all over again, wich is totally fun!![]()
But hey, that's no problem! I wasn't working like a slave at all
(I feel like one of those retired old man that just found out their pension is getting reduced)
That won't really help but they're doing it anyways.
(Jus remember, in some games with low money cap players invented Tokens. For example, a game really famous in Steam had a gil cap of 400kk in wich players started trading Tokens of 1.200kk. That's just an example. If that's the case, we'll loose 10% of what we had plus the token obtaining problem.)
Reducing everything a 10% will reduce inflation and prevent it in the future (since they're suppose to release some new content that the NPC's will sell -since the more we buy to NPCs will be less actual money)
That is in theory.
Excuse me if I remain skeptical about how good this is going to work.
Oh yeah, one more thing: no one buys items from npc as is because they are horribly over priced. Why would that change after the redenomination considering gil obtained by quests etc will be reduced by 1/10th as well?
Im sorry for my english but as shocking as it may be, not everyone playing FF speak english as mother tongue. Not to be mean but, English isn't your mother tongue is it? I'm sorry I'm not as lucky as you are with your server. In mine I have to buy a lot of things from NPCs since the items aren't sold at the AH or are sold at even higher prices (as stupid as it sounds)
I'm worried that players that are already used to selling stuff for x price will continue to sell it for x price. So if a miner is used to selling his product for 50k, he continues to sell it for 50k, he doesn't switch to selling it for 5k. So, all this accomplishes is the reduction of the amount of people who can buy the product and helps to further increase the difference between those who make a lot of money and those who can't (ie: crafters that already have a lot of money, and new crafters that can't access very expensive raw materials).
We'll take it into consideration.™
Well it's unfortunate that you find yourself spending excessive amounts of gil on overpriced npc gear. I avoided this problem and the overpriced ripoff market ward prices by simply forgoing gear altogether. You'd be amazed by how little a difference gear makes in this game (ifrit reindeer suits?). Honestly you could save yourself a lot of gil just lvling off of leves and equipping the rewarded gear.Im sorry for my english but as shocking as it may be, not everyone playing FF speak english as mother tongue.

You could also lvl your crafting classes and craft your own gear. But, gear is overated.
I've not followed this thread.. but in the german forum it was said, that everyones gil (the gil of the whole economy in a total) is being reduced about 1/10 (90%) of the original gil.
the new gil cap is just a result of this because 99.999.999 milion gil are 10% of 999.999.999so you wont lose your gil because everyone's gil is being reduced. you will stay as rich as you are now in the same value compared to all other players. the only difference is, that we have much lower inflation and gil is much more worth as now.
and that the difference between old and new players isnt that big anymore. i really thing that this change is aussum. we do not need 999.999.999 gil for a player..
an other good thing.. gil seller wont like thisbot characters/gil farmer chars carry hundreds of million gil with them and so they just can have "only" 99 million per character. it will hopefully mean less inflation then. (gil will be much more worth then)

haha this is great i already see prices doubled on on the MW as people try to dodge the gil wipe, thank you yoshi for making me even richer
How can people be worried that players will continue to sell items at X price once 2.0 arrives, when they're actually selling stuff themselves in this 99% player driven economy ...
If the the market stays higher than 10% of what the current prices are, then they'll profit too ...
