ARR Gil Cap Reduction

Well from what i see they said they would do 2 things:

- cut gil by 10%
- cut the max gil to 99.999.999

Who knows which order they intend doing it in?

The real question is what becomes a crab bow +3, and what becomes the wool cloth +1.

the idea to me that a tier 3 is going to go from 50k->5k and a tier IV goes from 200k->20k i know the math says this should happen I just can't see it actually working out this way.

I'm betting the materia system gets a bit of an overhaul to balance out how they really want the system. They got a nice year long peetree dish experiment on us and got to see how we used the materia.

the crab bow +3 is dated and will go out they took out the ability to make +2 and +3 items a long while ago so I'm going to take a small assumption that those will be gone and converted to gil or you will have to sell it if it is possible though they're saying dated stuff will becoming U/U. So either way you most likely will either have to A sell it now or B throw it away since U/U can't be sold

I am quite sure they answered this and said all +2, +3 will convert to +1 and all dated will remain but may become u/u and no longer be craftable/available; hence they will eventually phase themselves out

I think Tango was referring to 1.18 when certain very valuable items became worthless and other common items became valuable. Crab Bow +3 and wool cloth +1.

Perhaps we should stop trying to reasonably set people straight about this. Instead, level crafts for 2.0 and when it hits, sell everything for the new 10%-ish value.

You'll look like you're undercutting the market, but you'll actually be selling it for the same 1.0 value in 2.0 currency, and people will compare your item sold at 20k against the same item sold by everyone else at 200k.

You'll come out with the profit and you'll make the first steps to stabilizing the market.
