It has been my observation that there is never only one reason for anything we do. There might be a biggest reason, but with the way the human mind works, we always weigh several factors when making decisions. Suddenly I understand what some people are saying about it being a strange reason.

However, this does not change my opinion of hacking a digit off all gil values for everything. Prices will drop and stabilize for the same reason that candy bars don't cost a nickel anymore.

I hope to god this does take care of the rmt's they're a big eyesore. People can say what they like about them being paid subscribers but in the end they are a violation of Tos. Blah, I'm not an economist either but I do know some things about economy. I've lived through a lot of bad times and I've heard about bad times from my great grandmother who was born and alive during the great depression. Anyway, even then why would someone want to hoard gil in this game... to me gil is meant to be spent and to buy things you need like gear and such, but that's at least my own opinion in the matter because unless you have a damn good ls willing to hand you all your gear and all that on a plate (even mine doesn't do that lol) then you're going to have to fork out that money. No reason to sit on it when it there's no profit for it. (again my opinion on it)

also just to add in some time soon there will be a raise in the level cap so there will be a drop in the higher end items. I don't know exactly when it will be but there will be one and so all the gear people have when they lvl past 50 will end up becoming less in price... that's including relic and what not sooooooo yeah.

Doubtful that it will make any changes to how rmt earn their gil. Is not a loss or restructuring of wealth:its a relabeling of wealth.
