Then give me one good reason as to WHY we should all have our gil stolen from us, because as far as I can see, there is not a single reason.

Think of ARR gil as a new currency. Call it "Yoshi gil" in your head if it helps. Think of your current gil as "Tanaka gil". FFXIV:ARR doesn't accept Tanaka gil. Think of it as a foreign country. The change is all about perception... The current numbers look too big, I have always thought so since my first day. It just 'feels' better to see a level 1 Hempen Dalmatica for sale for 78 gil vs. 780 gil.

When i first found out that SE was going to reduce maximum gil a character could hold from 999M to 99M, I said big deal. You have two retainers and if that's not enough, get yourself an extra character. If 600M isn't enough for you, you're playing this game for the wrong reason.

Now this - you're taking 90% of everything I have. I stuck with this p.o.s. game and believed what SE told us - namely, all your gil and gear will be carried over, don't worry ><. Two years of working my ass off down the drain.

For all you economic wizards, while some of what you profess is true, it isn't across the board like you say. Supply and demand of a particular item will dictate price. For example, electrum ore +1 currently sells for 28K each on my server. Do you honestly think this will automatically go down to 2.8K? lol Supply is a limited commodity here. Everday, hundreds of miners are out actively and vigorously farming this. Why? Because people need this for HQ items/synths. In theory, you will argue, oh, demand will diminish because gil availablilty is now only @ 10% of what it used to be. While I don't disagree that may be true thru time (in theory), this will adjust itself, it won't for a long, long time.

SE you should be ashamed of yourself for the lie to all of us who stuck thru 1.0 and remained loyal to you despite the piss poor game.
