People against this: This is exactly why SE is allowing new players to join fresh servers and keeping old players the fuck off them.
Honestly I'm starting to feel like this game is like a bus trip, it started off bumpy and no one wanted to ride it so we got a new driver and the ride started to smooth out and was enjoyable but now there is a corner coming up and the new driver is going to take it too sharply and the bus is going to flip and catch on fire.
The justification of 1/10ing everyone gil just doesn't make sense. So we've been running on the arrow system and everything has been priced realtive to arrows and since there are no arrows we need a new pricing system? What about other small gil cosumables like bait? We not having bait anymore because they're too low a price from an NPC? I don't understand why we can't just stick to what we have if it works? It's just like taking away inventory spaces, why take them away when it works? What's next are they going to cut xp to 1/10th so the xp per mob and tnls don't look so big?

Gil should have no value in a nearly destroyed world. SE should have gone one step further with v2 and blown the cities to pieces and then let the players and npcs spend half a year with a hunting and item barter system while the cities were dynamically rebuilt, then gone back to a gil system later on so newer and legacy players would be on a lore acceptable equal footing.
Wakfu style could work.Gil should have no value in a nearly destroyed world. There is so much stupid going on in this thread it's crazy. Prices will adjust, you'll get used to it. There is nothing to freak out about.
As for prices right now, do you honestly think that if the world was about to end, and every inhabitant of planet earth was aware of that fact that the stock market would be stable? The Atmos event screwing with current gil values, is AWESOME for that alone.

Yeah mobs give almost no XP now, since you're going to be doing thousands of copy&paste quests rather than leaving it at the guildleve system.

The only thing that will change is people will have to rethink their prices when they put items up for sale. We will all adjust and the world will continue to turn.
