Before I decide, I wanna see the plot, I mean, see Gridinia, Limsa, and Ul'dah land plots and if they have different building designs for each area or not. This is very exciting news to me, I LOVE in-game housing and being able to build your own place.

A game I really loved that had building in-game was the Dark Cloud series cause you could build villages and in DCII you could have more customization options.

But anyways I'm so excited, I'm curious to how much it will cost for housing, supplies to build your home, furnature and all that stuff. I hope they have manniquins inside the house to show off your gear.

I hope maybe they could do something like have pictures on the walls and you just have to take screenshots in-game and have them displayed on your wall. That would be cool!

Please, please, PLEASE do not have a limit to how many players are able to have a house. I've seen it done in every MMO that ever had housing, and its EXTREMELY unfair.
Absolutely every player should be able to have a house.

I think Large houses could be given to the best linkshells (how that is decided is the problem.)

I hope we can share housing if we want...especially if we are married in game. It would be so much easier since we share gear/everything anyway, if we can just take what we want from the house/storage and put it back when we are done. I really hope they consider this >.<

Since this topic is generally about housing, I just wanted to say I enjoy Skyrim's method of building your own home by gathering and synthing the mats to create the house's framework, rooms, and other extra stuff.

Better than a gil sink, which for some reason a lot of players seem to want.

That sounds like fun. I'm more of the type that would get enjoyment out of collecting and then making whatever needs to be added to the house. But I'm sure otherwise would be more than happy to buy everything. Either way, I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully there's a lot of detail and work that can go into these houses.

uhm, in skyrim i just put in a lot of money and house was fully upgraded when i got there, it was only used for storage and putting vassals inside.

Yeah no thanks on that one. I watched my GF build her place in skyrim and in less than a day it was a mansion. In no way would I want anything FF to be like that. Absolutely no sense of accomplishment when things are that easy.

The rate at which something can be obtained doesnt have to carry over in ones example of a system they liked.

You can maintain accomplishment and use the posters suggested system. Besides as it is now I'm pretty sure its similar to what he said anyways - expect that you can get large sections done by just gil - and not having to change some things over into material and such (which really is still just more gil).
