Okay read the following having in mind that i'm dead serious : There is something wrong with either your eye-sight, or your perception of movement.

To summarise the issue :

-Inertia is completely gone, meaning :

-The way the characters were subject to inertia while stopping / start running / changing direction more than 90 degrees, is completely gone.

Now the characters awkwardly turn around by simply stopping, and they stop by simply... not moving their legs anymore.

-The way the characters used to lean left and right to turn as they run, depending of the angle of the turn is completely gone.

Now the characters are simply locked with the camera, turning around like they float. (what you call strafe) . (this could also be seen in 1.0, but only if you were only using the camera to turn as your character was running, but then again, you could also move properly using either WASD or the left analogue stick)

-They way the characters used to run towards the camera when you wanted to go backwards the way you're facing is now replaced with what seems to be a forced backpedaling.

Using this movement, characters take whole turns looking like they're iceskating.

Not to mention that awkward adjustment of the direction left or right, where the character seems to simply take a step sideways for a second while it runs forward. (i assume that this took the place of the leaning that we have now)

Anyway, all these people observing the changes are not crazy.

Take a look yourself.
