The only thing i like so far is the world design.
Animation and gameplay look awful at this point. I even hate the new archer battle animations. Too stiff... forced.
And please don't tell me you can't lock camera in 2.0
Just... don't.

Get over yourself already ...and jump off that whiny banwagon ..how many times it needs to be said its not final product for these stubborn bunch to understand >.>
That's what people originally said about the lack of the current animations in my thread. That there are placeholders, that it's still pre-alpha, etc. Then the confirmation came, that the downgrade was intentional.
How many times it needs to be said that what you see in these videos is not really far from what they intent for the final product to be for you to understand?

Wow, at first I was really only worried about the movement animations, but after watching the live letter, it seems combat animations are even worse. Nothing looks fluid or even proper any more, particularly the 'knock back' animation when getting hit. Also, I'm really not liking the flow and pace of combat at all, being a fan of the slower, deliberate pace of XI and XIV. I was honestly just hoping for XIV's combat with better response times and casting animations, and what we got looks...vastly inferior
I was so hyped for 2.0, but every thing I see (Beyond the world design) is completely turning me off
you know.....if they didnt show us gameplay video's before launch....and the haters were given the game to play before we seen the vids.....you would all probably be raving about how much better it is. Prime example is the grass.
If you want to complain jump to the RNG thread
[SARCASM] b-but its unfinished... Just wait... they don't want your opinion that early... And when the alpha starts, and its still kinda the same game you see on these videos... wait some more... don't complain, its still alpha... They probably won't "polish" such minor issues such as character movement and battle animations... Wait until beta. Where they will really polish the game...Wow, at first I was really only worried about the movement animations, but after watching the live letter, it seems combat animations are even worse. Don't be negative man... just wait... [/SARCASM]
How about no. I would be wondering why my character moves in such an awful way.
Also... we're somehow labelled "haters" now? Amazing.
I...I don't understand...the character movements (aside from jump which doesn't even exist in 1.0) are exactly the same as the current animations.
...What exactly are you people complaining about? o.O
(Also, omg pre-equipped gear sets you can tab to different jobs with!)
Seriously, what is different about them? They look exactly the same to me. Down to the last detail, even the female Hyur arm swish. Even the female elezen one knee stuck out in front of their body with their hips tilted to one side idle animation is EXACTLY the same.
