That was pretty distracting, but it seems like they are adjusting animations and still working on it. For instance, the Lalafell walk animation is totally different in ARR.

That may be because they intend to change the walk animation to that. If you notice, I believe the Lalafell NPCs DO walk like that already, but the PCs just walk different for some reason. So I think they're changing the Lalafell PC walk to match the NPC walk.

Oh! I believe you are right, I never noticed that npc lalafells in cutscenes do that walk rather than our current one.

Gender may also determine walking, perhaps. I can't confirm it, but if I remember right at all, I think the female lala NPCs walk like Lala's currently do, and the male NPCs walk like that shown in ARR?
