Oh dear god, I just got to the battle animations. -_-;

There is absolutely no difference except that your character can strafe now. I've watched every single character movement looking for where it's "different" and it's not. It's just...not.
Granted the gathering/crafting animations are different, but only in that your character moves like a normal person would when they're breathing or chucking at a tree with an axe.
(I will say, the strafe animation leaves something to be desired and gets old pretty quick.)

Okay read the following having in mind that i'm dead serious : There is something wrong with either your eye-sight, or your perception of movement.
To summarise the issue :
-Inertia is completely gone, meaning :
-The way the characters were subject to inertia while stopping / start running / changing direction more than 90 degrees, is completely gone.
Now the characters awkwardly turn around by simply stopping, and they stop by simply... not moving their legs anymore.
-The way the characters used to lean left and right to turn as they run, depending of the angle of the turn is completely gone.
Now the characters are simply locked with the camera, turning around like they float. (what you call strafe) . (this could also be seen in 1.0, but only if you were only using the camera to turn as your character was running, but then again, you could also move properly using either WASD or the left analogue stick)
-They way the characters used to run towards the camera when you wanted to go backwards the way you're facing is now replaced with what seems to be a forced backpedaling.
Using this movement, characters take whole turns looking like they're iceskating.
Not to mention that awkward adjustment of the direction left or right, where the character seems to simply take a step sideways for a second while it runs forward. (i assume that this took the place of the leaning that we have now)
Anyway, all these people observing the changes are not crazy.
Take a look yourself.

I like the new spell casting animations, nice and over the top
but the actual spells themselves are.... blink and you miss it lol
Now the two Conj fights that I saw in the video, were they fighting tougher mobs? It just looked like it took a lot longer to kill compared to the previous fights.
Yes to the inertia part, but did you seriously link to a thread YOU created as proof of what you're saying? Isn't that a little bit confirmation bias/conflict of interest? Also, please do NOT tell me you linked (with no irony whatsoever) to a Rokien thread to prove your point.
In case you're new to the forums, Rokien is a troll, everything he posts he does so in sarcasm or to get a reaction from people.
This is untrue. Rokien just likes to complain about everything he personally sees as inferior design, and uses brash sarcasm as a means of defense. It just so happened that this time he hit the mark with a feature at least 173 people care about, which is a hefty amount for this forum.
Also, hello.
Oh, Gramul. Welcome back! Also, this ^This is untrue. Rokien just likes to complain about everything he personally sees as inferior design, and uses brash sarcasm as a means of defense. Are you serious? No really. Answer me. It's not a rhetorical question. I really want to know, if there's a person on this planet that doesn't understand the following :
Yes, i did made that thread, that doesn't mean i created all the other accounts that acknowledge the issue in this thread.
Also, that wasn't even the first thread started about the issue. I even included the OP of another thread that was outlining the same exact issue, that i discovered after i made my own thread. (it was kinda vague and buried)
You make me lose faith in humanity. People shouldn't just randomly skip logic for the sake of arguing.
