    I only wish...

I don't want this game like ffxi or wow. I want it to be its own mmo. I don't like how the dev team is catering to us like little kids. If enough of us want something, they will look in on how to implement it. I want it to be their game, not ours. I want them to take a chance at something. Maybe through in some ideas from... lets say.. another mmo, like mabinogi? I don't know about you guys, but I lost the sense of adventure when they added the monster aggro tag. They are making this game to easy, I for one want to be thrown into a game, get chewed up and spit out again. The only mmos that I've played that gave hardly any direction was Mabinogi and FFXI. I just like the sense of feeling lost in a different world. Why go for tutorials? Why show us where everything is? Why not let us figure that stuff out and have fun with it. But meh, I'm just ranting.

Ummm mabinogi drop quests in your lap >.>;; Literally.... It also had tutorials. So does ffxi now.
They want a fun popular game, so they are doing any means nessisary. PPL didn't like what was released and pretty much lite their torches and raised their pitchforks... on an international level. All ppl want is a fun game. They seem to always shooting for middle ground. Even if games dive you a complete road map. It up to you to follow it.

Not everyone enjoys getting punched in a gut when playing a game. If you want a hard core game. Look up Lost choas or one of the other games by the same company. they have a game with an ultimate mode where if you die and don't get res your character is deleted after a bit.

I don't get how the aggro Icon makes it easier. My thought on that is this. Ok so that aggros..... so uh... how do I avoid it. See you still have to learn how to avoid it. AkA what it aggros by.

Mabinogi has tutorials? I know you can go to school, if thats what you mean. If so that is completely different, its how they implemented everything. The quest system is cool, because its like a carrier pigeon. You know, they used those all the time back in the day. FFXI is broke now, soo doesn't even count.

yup it did been playing the game off and on since the 3rd chapter. (way before the elf race was added. But yes mabinogi did have tutorial. You had the option of just x ing the box. Actually tons of games have them.
You gonna say all those games are broken?

And ffxi isn't really broken. And the tutorial isn't bad. And the rewards were a nice perk.

I do like that they ask our opinions and such, and take lots of feedback. That's awesome.. but I don't really like things like big glaring aggro icons either. I liked in XI having to learn what attacks, by sound, sight or whatever. I liked people learning to be careful - watch their backs, (That was kinda out the window once power leveling got big though.. -.-) The aggro icon kinda made me think, "Whoa, I'm not 5 years old here.. that thing is huge with sharp teeth, it only makes sense to stay away from it!" It instantly took some sense of adventure out of the game for me. I'm very happy that they're deciding to let us toggle it on and off as we please.

not to be mean, but that was also time consuming. Nothing is good if you spend an hour traveling to get 1 peice of gear, not see an aggro mob and die. Forcing you to do that ALL over again. And still what ppl forget. All it is, is a visual. What the real learning was how to avoid it.

Not to be mean, but to get that one good peace of equipment should be hard to get.

    >.> you don't get what I mean. go play ffxi right now and start in windy as a whm. You gotta travel ALL the way to bastok to BUY a hammer. (best low lvl solo weapon for whm) No one was able to buy one and send one to me. I ran all the way to south gustemburg as a lvl 5 whm only to die steps away from bastok. And no one was free to raise. THAT shouldn't be hard. And the only stuff meant to be "hard" is the actuall content not the travel.
