    Screen Tearing and Vsync

my screen tears really really badly and its constant. i dont know if i should up my settings to drop FPS or just keep it as is and have the tearing.

please SE, add a vsync option or maybe allow us to cap our FPS at 60...the tearing is getting really distracting

    specs:
    i5 750 (slightly overclocked to 3ghz)
    8g ddr3 ram
    2x 5770HD crossfire'd (stock clocks)

You should be able to enable vsync from your catalyst control panel. I don't know where exactly, but it's probably something like "3D settings - Vertical Refresh"

For Nvidia users, it's the Nvidia control panel. Choose the FFXIV profile and either force on or off vertical sync.

Try turning it OFF, then see what happens

And also please post a screenshot of the problem. It may not have anything to do with vsync.

You may have to use a different program to force Vsync, such as Rivatuner+D3DOverrider. But first, make sure you have the most recent version of CCC.
