I too have no problem playing FFXIV in 3D for hours and I love it and it is beautiful. I play most games on pc in 3D and it hurts my heart to hear this news.

I play in 3D now and it is pretty flawless. 3DTV play on a 5o inch 3D HDTV.

You can play any game in 3D on the PC, how well it works depends on certain aspecs of the game, at times shadows don't appear right (in 1.0 it's perfect). Have to wait and see in 2.0.

As far as the PS3, I doubt it. It is already difficult to put XIV on the PS3. 3D mode strains it more to create the over layed SBS images. Doing so with the limited memory will cut back on the max res well below 720p.
