Boo hoo. You have to team up in a multiplayer game.
You are calling them bitches? All I can do is shrug my shoulders at half your comments. Some of you have been helpful, while some have blatantly been some bitches as I must put it. I started this game in sept of 2010, I played for awhile through some of the shittiest times this game has had. I am a big fan of the entire final fantasy genre and own them all. I still play ffVII on the ps3. I was in a good linkshell when I left this game in 2011, I came back and it was dead, everyone in it has quit the game. i have tried to get with other people since starting back. I either get ignored or hrmm ignored, I'm guessing because most who still play are way advanced in it then I currently am. For the people who pointed out Ul'dah as a place to gather people to party with, thanks for the tip. I did notice that alot more people hang out around ul'dah then the other regions.. kinda sad really, but I will start trying there to find a group to play with who also enjoys gridania.
You were the one that started being a bitch first. As for your complaint, it is not legitimate. The grand company quests are about uniting with the other adventures to combat the coming garlean invasion. Its the whole point of them, so if you don't want to group with people, don't be part of a grand company.I'm not whining.. this is a legitimate complaint. And I don't care how fast you got your mage up. Congratz , I guess you enjoy exp grind. I enjoy adventure and story content more then when will I get my next level.
And don't try to preach to me about MMO either... I have been online gaming for Years, and have participated in battles alongside over a thousand people at once for the same objective, so it's nothing new to me.. but even then that same game has gave me years of enjoyable solo content aswell while not ever once telling me I had to be in a group or no go for you.
It's Toto-Rak, a dungeon . You need in every dungeon a party (2, 4 or 8). You need for primal battle a party, too.I ran around for 3 hrs as my anima was low to get all the recruit starter quests done for the Grand companies. I finished with the adders because that is who I wanted to join. I accepted my first mission , Emperial Devices ( gridania) , I go to the cave it asked me to travel to.... and bam, roadblock.. I HAVE to be in a party of 2 or 4, I'm like wtf!!!
The Toto-Rak quest is not very story related, so you can ignore the quest if you don't want to search for party members.
threads like this is why we cant have nice things
You know all that solo play in the other FF games is pretty bad ass... I remember that time I beat every FF never teaming up with any other characters ever.
Ok, I finally got to run the dungeon. Thanks to a very friendly person. I did not mean to come off as whiney/bitchy or w/e about having to party, I enjoy multiplayer content as much as I do solo. hat had me so irate about it was with how hard it is to even get a party. I was really trying for hours to no avail. I will start trying to hang around ul'dah and meet some people as several have suggested. Hope someone accepts me into thier LS. I played this game when it first came out with a good group of people, and enjoyed doing so, so I am not trying to avoid multiplayer.. I just wish it was easier to obtain the party to get it done. And that quest right there tbh was not something I would ever consider to require multiple people after running it. except for maybe the boss at end. which I'm sure is soloable for most classes.
Also I would like to apologize for name calling, I was getting frustrated at how I was being attacked for my issue. Thaks for the help I did recieve.
Role Playing Game does not indicate solo: Though with the attitude of some people it would indicate forever alone.
The OP is playing the role of one of many adventurers in the world of Eorzea. He does not play the role of a god who can defeat everything alone; He is a normal adventurer like the rest of us and therefor must rely on his fellow man to take on larger tasks.
I won't expect the OP to know about ARR since he seems to be out of the loop, He/she is complaining (Yes; complaining) about something that is incredibly moot at this point, because ARR will not only have quest driven leveling but it will also have content finder so the OP will never have to attempt to make friends with anyone.
That's a good thing though because personally I am not sure I would enjoy grouping with someone who can't be arsed to actually try playing the game with other people before he/she comes to these forums and acts the way they are when plenty of us have done ALL of the content just fine without any trouble. You know...because we made the effort to know people and make friends to do things with.
At any rate: Congratulations on finally getting help.
