Desert Saffron

When obtaining this item, the log says "You obtain a bottle of desert saffron."

But I didn't obtain a bottle. I obtained a handful of plants.

"It's some of them new... flower bottles."

The helper text also implies that the image should be of a bottle as opposed to some raw flowers:

"This spice is made from the dried style of the desert saffron flower, and gives a bright yellow color to certain dishes."

If all the item contains of the flower is the "dried style," I'm fairly sure we're dealing with a bottle of spices, not a handful of flowers. Lastly, I think "style" should be pluralized, as well - I mean, you usually get 3 on a flower, multiple flowers on a plant, and a bunch of plants' worth in a bottle.

Is it nitpicky? Yes.

Did I level a class that claims to be a "Botanist?" Also yes.

"Oh, yeah. I'm growing some bottles of rolanberry wine back at my mog house right now."

Keep on keepin' on, LOC-squad! I'm sorry to hear about all of your voidsent brethren, thoughtlessly slaughtered during an unfortunate Atomos incident in which I allegedly had some part yet of which I admit nothing.

I actually noticed the same thing when grinding in U'Ghamaro.

Well, I'm pretty sure if anything is in error, it's simply the image. The spice itself is commonly referred to as Saffron, so I'd guess that you're basically collecting the styles and crushing them into a powder before putting them into a bottle. After all, while carry the whole plant when you just need a tiny part?

Ah, Anonymoose! Without your nitpicking, circles of leather would be wrongly sliced into squares, chunks of copper ore would be mere lumps, and mushroom stew would pour off of plates, when it should have been gently ladled into bowls.

I'll see if I cannot get our QA team to take a gander at all the item names and their icons, and come up with a list of things that are seem out of place. As for the saffron, I'll change the 'style' part (great point there), and then wait to see what happens with the icon in ARR before making the change from bottle to flower.

This reminds me of the fact that numerous items still have icons not matching the colour advertised. We should probably keep an eye out for these popping out of the woodwork again in beta (alpha for those who get in it).

I've always assumed that the player/playable character had specially stored vials, bags, nets, baskets, bottles, rods and spindles ready to collect loot from the dead enemies.
