How will it all end?

My idea of how this era of XIV will end is as Dalamud comes down, the Garleans makes an assault to take over all three cities in the confusion. The Grand Companies turn out to defend their homes, and you are called upon to fight alongside the leaders. All day, the battle ebbs too and fro, the valiant soldiers of the companies pushing back the Garleans, only to be countered by the massive numbers of troops and technology in the opposition's hands. All day, you see a timer at one corner of the screen, counting down when Dalamud touches down. As the last second approaches, the number starts counting down in the middle of the screen. Everyone starts fighting more fiercely, battle songs sung and rallying cries shouted. Then, when the timer reaches 0, everything stops for one instant. You get sent into a cutscene showing what occurs as Dalamud lands, and as you are sent into limbo, the servers shuts down... waiting for the realm to be reborn.

I just expect Atomos to pop in the cities for those last 10 days.

Considering the storyline has been alluding to a build up of Garlean troops in Mor Dhoma and the news papers report the GC are moving troops there, and the summoning sight for the 12 gods is there. I'm assuming there's gonna be a big epic showdown in Mor Dhoma. The CG trailers seem to suggest players last moments would be spent in such epic battle there.
