Is Atomos trying to help us?

Maybe Atomos is trying to protect the planet from Dalamud and his planning to swallow it, reminds me of the Weapons from FFVII, they don't care of the living people, but care about the planet.

This would also allude to FFXI where he swallows whole dimensions if he deems one unfit. So XI's atomos is definitely a good iteration for XIV where he's more than just a glorified demi spell.
