We killed Atomos for an achievement. Touch the stone 2x and you get a buff of Haste for 30 mins. ATomos was chomping on people's Aether like it was Reese's Pieces

My theory is that the Aetherytes are overcharged due to Dalamud's proximity and Atomos is drawn to them and trying to absorb the aether from them.

The clusters and crystals that we get when he is defeated are made of the power that Atomos is drawing from the Aetherytes.
