Will character data of players who haven't played in months be transferred to 2.0?

I have a few friends who quit the game months ago and they will try Realm Reborn. Will their data be transferred or is it only the data of active players?

As long as had an account when FFXIV started will till they took off FFXIV 1.0 off the shelves, then yes they will be able get their Character data transferred over, and they will get ARR for free as well.

I think they said they were prioritizing current players being transferred, but they have more than enough time and yeah everything is getting transferred.

Even if you tell them to delete your account odds are they wont. My friend deleted their account - and then had second thoughts and came back during one of FFXI's come back campaigns. He just needed more information then usual to get going.

If they do that prioritizing thing again a lot of people will be pissed off. Since SE has like what 5 or so months the game will be down if they want any chance at getting old players back they better be sure they are ready to go at launch. When the server merge happened and had friends come back to try it having them wait a few days just to even play their old chars wasn't cool.
