I love games that take acceleration into consideration. Makes me like em that much more that they took the time to do it. Would you like a driving game to have the car turn when you tell it to without "Hurp durp can't turn I'm trying to go straight"?The animations were never that great to begin with, they are okay but really come off as clunky and sluggish. I for one am glad to see they are going away for a more fluid moving game. I don't want to turn left and then watch my character herp derp he way slowly left. He should be turning as soon as I hit the button as should my camera.
Let's also add this to the list of stuff that yoshi has taken out that the people liked.
yeah with brainless monster bashing and the lagg !
This is why I voted "yes" in the poll to keep the servers up. Not because I don't think I'll like ARR...but juustttt in case it loses that spark that made it good to me.
If I had to wager a guess, the graphics change is mostly to accommodate the hardware of the PS3. It almost sounds like you're saying everyone that wants to play ARR should have a PC.
chhzzkh.... you can't grrha... This is stupid. Forget it. Complain moar.
Rokien is saying the Devs are lazy. That adding more animations would be better (more animations for jump?!) And then that 2.0 should be made for PS3 and PC and not together, that there should be two ARRs.
That's not complaining that's being whiny and unrealistic.
For what it's worth, signed. Removing the detailed animations, instead of simply prioritising actions over making sure animations always play to completion, is in my opinion a mistake.
I've said my piece in the other topic (though Caedeia said it better) and have no intention of getting involved in the usual vitriol and calling everyone disagrees a troll, but I hope desperately the people in charge realise they're degrading something that makes the game special.
Knock on me all you like, it's my opinion and my vote. All that's left is to hope, and come v2.0 launch day, if they haven't reconsidered, hope I can stomach the loss.
