well they weren't wrong , the clunky RE controls have a good part in the scary part .I really can be at ease in RE 1-3 but in the 4th one it lost a lot of the scary parts .
Maybe you don't find them scary but i do , i really cannot play to these game and being at ease .
Is Roiken even trying anymore?
I was in the same boat when I started playing. The running/turning seemed sluggish. Eh, I don't care. Then again, I've never been much of a fanatic for over the top animations. Rpgs stopped being as fun for me when graphics became a higher priority than quality writers.
Might have something to do with his reputation on these forums.Wow.
You know what. Never mind.
You're right Rokien.
Reading that thread was such a disappointment. Someone notices the animations are gone in 2.0, and then people flood to defend square saying it's not even done. Then it turns out that they removed it on purpose, and everyone still praises them and this lack of foresight. Then someone makes a thread asking for the animations to stay, and you all jump at him like a pack of angry pigs.
It doesn't have to be an all or nothing situation. A simple cancel animation command any time a new movement is activated would fix this just fine.
I am a little disappointed but I'm willing to try the full game first.
Legend tells of a legendary warrior whose kung fu skills were the stuff of legend. He was so deadly, in fact, that his enemies would go blind from over-exposure to pure awesomeness!
There are many opinions and there are many things, many can be pleasant many more can be skipped, what SE is doing is cheeking how much can they skip to preserve costs, something sad in my point of view but and i say BUT, the animations are there they can add it on something else maybe inside town you will move like we do now maybe not, the whole thing about animations, its cause the frggin animation lock most if not all whined in and out so now we are just harvesting what we seed but asking for better crop.
So I think they shouldn't have removed all animations I mean why not leave them when the weapon is sheathed and just remove them when the weapon is drawn, would not that been enough?
Fluid Gameplay >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> aesthetic movement
Aion Zwei - Masamune
Welcome to the massive assumptions thread. How do you know that people wouldn't enjoy fluid animations? When a large portion of the market has never been able to even experience it?
We still have no explination as to how the animations somehow effected gameplay, and until then we can only assume what we will.
