I don't remember yoshi ever promising to improve anything related to animation during alpha.

yoshi p stated in the last interview of an japanese website... that the blending animations are not implemented in alpha (which could mean for movement animations as well)....

they will be in beta maybe. especially a rokien thread. how come that an other rokien thread was bumped at the same day, almost at the same time?

They already said some animation is being removed so it will run better on lower spec computers / PS3.
