WTF end of billing no legacy staus fml

I missed out on Legacy, although through no real fault of SE. I'd known about the campaign since its launch, in fact I recall getting Legacy newsletters emailed to me. Still, being in uni and lacking a means to pay for the monthly sub kept me away. I came back in August knowing full well I'd probably missed it. That said, the campaign page is vague at best in its description, and really should have been a lot clearer. The PDF of SE's timeline had a lot of info and dates marking the start of beta, so I'm not sure why those weren't readily available on the Legacy page. That said, it's not difficult to look it up either.

It would've been nice to get Legacy, a cheaper rate is always awesome, but meh, I think FFXIV is worth the standard fee. So I'm not too bummed about it. I'm definitely enjoying it right now, trying to do as much as possible before Nov 1.

I wouldn't have come back in August if that were posted, i just would've waited for 2.0. Instead SE got $19 from me in August and another $13 in September, money I wouldn't have paid If i knew I absolutely couldn't get legacy

In this case, youre screwed out of legacy because they are making october free. Had you been able to be charged on oct 2/3 for your last 30 days to make 90, you would have legacy status. But because of their sudden decision to suspend billing after sept 30, it was pre-maturely taken from you.

At least, thats my logical conclusion...

The problem with this is that it is not in the lodestone legacy page, it somewhere in the forums. They should have updated the lodestone page whenever the deadline changed. I think because they didnt change the main legacy page on the lodestone, whos to know that mod was even correct, and didnt make a mistake?

If you talk to customer service they will tell you those where merely 100% chance guidelines. However even if they weren't its not listed on the legacy main page where someone from the outside world would first see.

Yeah I am a little surprised that the Legacy Page was not updated about this... But I do remember seeing that it was on the Lodestone topics of this... Let me find the direct link.

For a short period of time it was up (you are definitely not crazy lol) - but there is no guarantee the same time you are window shopping FFXIV that "that" would also be the same day they post breaking news on the campaign displayed always to the left hand side of the page.

They have a whole page dedicated to legacy - either laziness to update the page (unprofessional) or intentionally misleading consumers (even more unprofessional).

This isn't the end of the world - but SE should rectify what they have always said about legacy by letting those who need October in. And then immediately closing their legacy page or at least properly update it as not to confuse more people who may see it.

The way I look it is this, SE got $70 from me when the game launched by releasing a broken game, then another $31 because of we'll say lack of communication at best. Why am I going to give any more money to a company that in my opinion stole $100 from me
