Why not make October and November free for everyone?

Or at least everyone who's covered most of their September sub. It's just that people whose subscription runs out really close to September 30th won't really benefit from the free period at all.

I know it's just $10, the price of a meal, SE needs money, BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME OH WELL etc. but it's kinda frustrating when your sub runs out on September 29th and you could have benefited from the promotion by just waiting a day or two to resub.

A french dev has commented that your time will move into ARR. So your payment is not lost. Besides legally they wouldnt try to skimp you out of your change. So you pay september 17th or something - your time is ticked down till 29/30 where it stops ticking down and you move into the free period. The rest is saved till ARR.

the problem is that Youm didn't say what are these free days , since everyone gets the game for free until the shutdown then it would mean that it's for ARR launch but i'm still not sure .

Yeah it's pretty vague, would be nice if it carried over to ARR. I mean I guess I don't mind paying, I'm sure a lot of people on the same boat will just suck it up and pay too, but it would nice to have some official clarification.
