    Player notes in the aether

As I was buying some XP scrolls for my DoH, I noticed the difference in price between the GC and the Black market merchant. For whatever reason I never saw it before, and it much have made me waste quite some seals paying extra on the black market.
So I was thinking, would it be possible to implement a menu, that you can open and read tips left by other players?
Similar to the help menu they have in SC2:

You can enter a dungeon, and read some tips explaining how to kill a boss you keep failing on (AV, CC)
In cities, they tips could have an option to be written in a "square" that you are in (say X3 Y7).
This would allow players to write something about the NPC's standing in that specific location. (I know a few Quests that dont start untill you talk to the 2nd NPC in the quest line, so someone could post a location of said person)
Perhaps a voting system could be put in place where after a certain number of down votes, the comment gets deleted (anti-troll).
I know it might be a strange suggestion, but I think it might be helpful, allowing players to leave each other tips, or maybe leaving a lore post about a location.

Exactly what I was thinking. Though, it would be pretty cool to implement something like this, one would have to wonder, how useful would it be were it to fall into the land of trolling and memes.

The Internet is a scary place at times. Great idea though.

Well... "Common" sense isn't all that common anymore, now is it?

I never played that, but i did hear that they have it.
And the idea is pretty much the same.
Would be helpful if you could write for others: "Dont stand behind boss, strong attack for 1/2 your hp"

Perhaps some sort of lvl restrictiveness?
Along with possibility of a ban if someone troll too much?

For demon, and dark souls the trolling fit perfectly into the game. "Roll ahead for treasure" when there was hidden patch of grass that would drop you to your death, "Run this way" when running would release a hail of arrows. The game was dark and the trolls made an actually funny humor. Final Fantasy is too light of a game - it would never fit.

Also you have chat in FF, in DS you were supposed to feel alone - red glpyhs on the floor your only connection to the outside world.

Good ideas but I dont think DS glyph system will work in FF.

Wouldn't really work. People would abuse it like crazy and spam everything everywhere. Plus, what fun is a dungeon if it has a built in walkthrough?

This actually sounds about right for a modern MMORPG.

Un(fortunately) no one wants to flop a dungeon so no one goes without a walkthrough or a person in game who has experience (probably from a guide or another person who read a guide)...
