They did have weapon skills, I remember! o.o! Sorry you don't wanna have fun. I don't see the harm in weaponskills, someone please enlighten me on what's so terrible to have a staff go, LSKFJSDH STARS SLSDFSDH.

Also my second point in making this thread, if you watched the talk deal, they really REALLY wanted to make summoner hit with that book of his.

In the same sense that other mage weapons are "asthetic". Meaning its scratch damage. Doesn't mean you can't have a weapon skill that does something useful.

That was my point. If the weapons skills serve a purpose then I am all for it.

Roiken is not right very often but he is right here for once. As long as they have a use, its fine. Especially when you're solo, where you're going to get hit and have shiatty MP recovery anyway- thats when i draw weapon so I can avoid spell interruption with shield.

He called for "pointless" weapon skills, and "pointless" summarizes yet another thread.

I just want weapon skills in general even if they are pointless, but it's best if they make them have a use~ How fun was it as a whm in ffxi to go hexa strike a skeleton!?

I actually liked somewhat the ones they already had in game. I don't really miss them, but as far as mage's go, if they implemented something that was useful I would be all for it. I never have my weapon drawn though, so it kinda defeats the purpose. Those extra few seconds of lost mp regen can make all the difference in a fight, especially if its for a waste of a weapon skill.

They just wanted the animation to be "fun" and look cool because SE likes for things to be stylish and stuff...

/headache So rather than create a topic to stimulate good debates, you find fun in baseless topics like this...?

I'm getting too old for this... Jesus...

Well... "Common" sense isn't all that common anymore, now is it?
