Like a couple other people already mentioned, I remember an interview where they specifically said that magetik mounts wouldn't be used for fighting, but please continue.

Personally I think restricting Magitek Armor to a mount only is lame. If the devs could make special events/zones for mounted magitek combat it would be fun. I don't mind waiting for ver 2.5 or 3.0 for that content. lol
