    Hi Len,

    Thanks for the info.

If this is true (that you merely have to be in proximity and *not* get claim and *not* get killing shot), it seems a bit odd / unfair for those parties that actually spent the majority of their efforts getting the NMs down to 1% health (or killing it).

If what you're saying is true (just be in proximity), it's kinda sad when you have a Party that works on killing 99% of the Mobs (or heck, even doing 100% of the work), and you can just stand there and have a chance at the drop.

(or if you have to damage it a bit, the fact that you can let some other party do 99% of the work and you go in and just take a couple swings and hope for a roll feels... odd / unfair / not really rewarding teamwork (just loot stealing in a way).)

There is 0 chance that you only need to stand next to the enemy. More than likely, your chance of getting the drop is based of the amount of enmity you obtain. Even if the requirement is just get any enmity at all.

    It's Called Open-Tapping.

SE ---really--- needs to confirm this then, there are a lot of parties getting really pissed off at others coming in and killing the monster. If in reality that doesnt matter then we have a bunch of raging for no reason.

I would all be for community no need to party content - but seriously tell us because we dont expect them to create that kind of content... (though we should, its lame having anti community community content lol)

I can confirm proximity is not a factor. Myself and some friends were out at iron lake. We had a alt camp'd at the east pop side while we were at northwest for ease of saving the run to check when if the opposing side bad pop'd. Upon killing a imperial his alt still received the drop rate over 500yalms away without touching it.

Honestly we didn't even know loot went that far, (neither did we know it dropped to the mule till after the event was over and he found a tricorne in his inventory lol)

*Loot will drop to to the party that has claim (and has held claim) while killing it OR the party who's member gets a killing blow while it is leashing.
^- If it was leashing and we got killing blow we would see drops occasionally. But we also had a case where a PLD claimed the centurion around 5% after he fully reset and returned to position, used hollow ground while our party finished it off, then received a hat. So as stated before, the killing blow isn't what's causing the drops it's that the mob is 'leashing' so the person's party who is getting that killing blow is receiving the loot if loot is to drop.
