Honestly I wouldn't doubt that at all, they have done seasonal events before as testing for future content (last summers bomb escort was a test for caravan etc)

U don't have to leash the mobs if you straight tank the vanguard, sleep the elites and pick them off one by one guys. Our ls did this last night for a couple hours, tho we did overlook it at the beginning. Also, the reason you guys might be confusing the killshot for who has claim is because when you leash the mobs they could be deaggroin right before a kill and your killshot could be for claim because i noticed it happening last night before we were straight tanking.

They have become highly resistant to sleep the more you cast it

Yes but with 8 ppl we were able to kill most before they woke up and the tank got hate on the others and held them.
