When you block someone on the forums does it prevent them from reading your posts?

When you block someone on the forums does it also prevent them from reading your posts?

It would be great if this were the case so that you could block ignorant people, and in doing so deny them the privilege from seeing/trolling your posts.

No it doesn't only prevents you from seeing their posts, and there is the temptation of still viewing their post by clicking " View post" :P.

This thread was pretty useful for me. While I understand that a lot of people choose to use these forums as an outlet for their repressed postpubescent emotions, some of us try to use the forums for their intended purpose; gathering and sharing information.

I think if you have to block many users, anything is not right with you.

i never had problems with players ingame and here as well, that i had to block them. (because i dislike their opinion or whatever) i know many players who have several peops on their black list. i think people like these lack of the abillity of solving issues they have with other people.

they dont want to get confronted with difficult situations ... easiest way -> block.
i'll never understand behaviour like that, but its up to everybody to handle like they want to.


but i think we play in a social orientated game, playing together with other people so it should be the last step to block someone.

I don't block people on the forums for the simple reason that I want to be able to correct misinformation they post, or respond to personal attacks. If it was possible to block them and prevent them from reading my posts, I would probably block at least 20 people or so who post here regularly.

I block people in the game if they do something that makes me never want to play with them again. If I didn't block them it's likely I would forget their name, accidentally end up grouping with them, and regret it all over again.
