The future of FFXIV forums

Because most high levels will most likely only view & post in that forum and not in the ones newer players will view.

And they're not the kinds of people who post in newbie threads anyway so I don't see the problem.

Regarding Advanced Level Forums:
We received some feedback requesting to have some sections of the FFXIV forums restricted to only allow players over a specific level. We just wanted to let you know that we do not have any plans to place any limitations such as this because we want new players to be able to ask questions, and provide feedback, which can be useful for new subscribers as well.

Maybe old posts should just be branded somehow to see that it's an old discussion.

I would think deleting everything might be not that wise since there still probably will be plenty of relevant feedback and critique that applies to 2.0 as well.

Just change the hue of these comment box backgrounds to grey maybe?

Old posts will be buried in the system anyway when 2.0 launches and sparks new threads so I don't think this should be too confusing to anyone anyway.

As for the forums after A Realm Reborn is released:
We will continue to operate the forums after launch; however, we are still working out the details on what we should do with all of the posts when we switch over. We'll keep you in the loop as soon as we have any updates.

Why do we need a "restricted" forum just because we have jobs at 50? They would need a pretty good valid reason to do it , not just because it makes you feel all big and powerful ...
